Once again, its Filmart in Hong Kong this March 2011. Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, Asia’s leading entertainment industry gathering, gets a lineup of nine multimedia events, covering film, television, digital entertainment and music. They include the Hong Kong International Film and Television Market (FILMART), which is expected to attract a record number of exhibitors from all over the world. Micro-film is becoming a fast growing phenonmeon in many countries. It ranges from short film, music videos, short documentaries and commercial advertising. Compared with a feature-length film, micro-film is characterized by low production costs and the scale of the production team. Its contents are tailor-made for the new media platform, and audiences can consume the films on the web and other mobile devices at any time. Due to the spread of mobile technology with filming capabilities, more and more grass-root creations have been produced. With the merging digital media and TV industry, the prospects of micro-film market are viewed by many as optimistic.  TV Digital Cinematography Workshop and Discussion Forum (Future of media: Micro-film) is a two-day event organized by the HKTVA (Hong Kong Televisioners Association), that comprises of a on set shooting event with workshop demonstrating production and post production skills A forum of the industry professionals are invited to share and discuss the potential usage of Micro-Film in the TV industries. Speakers will be speaking at the Guest Speakers Seminar and Discussion Forum on 21/03/2011 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at S221, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Speakers include :Ron Brinkmann is the author of The Art and Science of Digital Compositing, Occasional supervisor in the vfx and animation world, was one of the founding employees of Sony Pictures Imageworks, and part of the initial design and development team that produced the digital compositing application Shake. He frequently speaks at seminars on the topics of visual effects, digital filmmaking and general technology.   Sze Chianly is 13 year veteran in the broadcast and post production software industry. Started his post-production experience as a 3D Animator in Singapore, he later moved to Hong Kong and worked as a digital audio broadcasting and graphics specialist.
